Description

GREAT WEEKEND RETREAT FOR FISHING, HUNTING AND RELAXING!!  This 20 acre property fronts directly on the incredible Hatchett Creek, about 10 miles from Rockford and about 50 miles from Birmingham.  The cabin is a “fixer-upper”, and holds real potential.  Most of the interior walls are handcrafted from beautiful native wood.  The view of the Hatchett from the deck is truly spectacular.  This cabin sits on a bluff overlooking the cold, beautiful colored Hatchett, which is filled with boulders, shoals, whitewater and great fishing areas.  From these waters you can take Kentucky redeye bass, Coosa redeye bass, largemouth, walleye, drum, yellow catfish and channel catfish.  The owner has taken some 40 or so yellow cats weighing between 20 and 45 pounds!

The cabin is 1 bedroom, 1 bath, den area and kitchen.  Sitting on the deck overlooking the Hatchett and watching the canoes, kayaks and rafts drift by, the “feel” is that of the mountains of North Carolina.  The sound of the creek waters rushing over the shoals is something special.  Hatchett Creek frontage is hard to come by!

Public power and telephone service are available, and water can be supplied by drilling a deep well.

For hunters, this area holds lots of deer and turkey, and additional adjoining and nearby Hatchett frontage acreage (about 25 acres) is available – see 3 other Coosa County Hatchett Creek properties on this website.  Also, you can keep your 4-wheelers, tractor, etc. under the 16 x 20 foot creekside storage building.
