Walter graduated with a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Alabama in 1988. Immediately he knew that he wanted to be in the hunting and land business. After assisting many landowners with land and timber management, he started Tutt Real Estate in 1991. The real estate company merged with Lower Dixie Timber Co., Inc in 1994.  Walter currently holds real estate licenses in Alabama, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Walter sat on the Board of directors for the Alabama Forestry Association and has been presented conservation awards by the USDA Soil Conservation Service. The Tutt family land, under his management, won the 2006 Helene Moseley Award for the South West Area of the State.  Walter has assisted landowners in developing thousands of acres into premier recreational tracts. Walter’s specialty is bringing buyers and sellers together in brokering recreational and timberland tracts. Walter, Marni and their children, Wallace and Camilla, live in Demopolis, Alabama.

Hale has been with Tutt Real Estate since January, 2004. He is an associate broker and says he feels blessed to be associated with this company and the people that work here. Todd is a Registered Forester with a B.S. from Auburn University in Forest Operations and a minor in Wildlife Management. He has worked with Lower Dixie Timber and Tutt Land since 2001.  Todd Lives in Butler, Alabama with his wife Tammy and their two children Logan and Hanna Kate. Todd specializes in timber appraisals and forest management. He is also a certified tree farm inspector.  As an avid outdoorsman, he appreciates good hunting property and uses his knowledge of forestry and current timber markets when evaluating properties.  His primary area is West of the Tombigbee River and into East Mississippi. Banks grew up hunting and fishing in and around the small east Alabama town of Hatchechubbee. For several generations he and his family have been involved in that area in timber, agriculture and cattle operations.  With degrees in business and law from Auburn University and The University of Alabama, he spent 32 years representing landowners in their property matters.  For over 31 years Banks has owned and operated Homestead Farm, a purebred Black Angus cattle business. During that time he and his family have lived on the farm. He has personally managed and maintained the farm and other real estate for cattle, timber, wildlife and fish production. Having been involved with founding a bank, and serving on its board he has insight helpful in financing land transactions.  Banks and his wife, Margo live in Opelika, Alabama and have been married since 1968. They have 5 children (including a daughter-in-law and a son-in-law) and 3 grandchildren.

Sean is a resident of Trussville, Alabama and a 1999 graduate of University of Alabama Birmingham.  While at UAB he earned a BS in business management and finance he was also four-year member of the UAB football team.  He and his wife, Brooke are the parents of three sons: twins, Ford and Brady, and Walker.  As a young child, Sean developed a passion for the outdoors and all sports including fishing and hunting.  He has managed his family’s farm for fifteen years.  These factors contribute to his enjoyment of the buying and selling of recreational and hunting properties.  Sean has the necessary knowledge to assist landowners with wildlife management through the use of Quality Deer Management (QDM) practices.  He is knowledgeable of tree planting and road construction, as well as lake design and maintenance.  Call Sean today for a positive buying or selling experience.

Beth has worked for 20 years as a conservation photographer following a career as a photographer at Southern Living Magazine. She is passionate about land, exploring and finding the best steward. Much of her time as a photographer was spent working on a book titled: HEADWATERS: A Journey on Alabama Rivers. Her new book will be available Oct. 1, 2012 about the Longleaf pine ecosystem, titled: LONGLEAF: Far as the Eye Can See published in partnership with the Longleaf Alliance. As an Alabama native, Adam grew up with a passion for the outdoors and the desire to work and assist others in land and wildlife management.  Adam is a 2003 graduate of The Citadel earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.  Upon graduation, Adam gained his commission in the United States Army where he served in various positions throughout the United States and abroad. Once returning home, Adam entered into the business sector working in an array of industries from pre-cast concrete to being the managing member for a business valuation firm.  Adam manages the family farm and is knowledgeable in non-commercial horticulture, site reclamation, pond management, and wildlife habitat improvement.  Adam is devoted in helping his clients sell, acquire, and create their dream property.  He, his wife Kristen, and their two children Shane and Savannah reside in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  Adam is proud to be a part of the Tutt Land Company team and will be happy to assist you in reaching your land goals.

Jeff is a 2001 graduate of Auburn University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry Management.  He has been a licensed real estate agent since 2004 and combined with his education in professional forestry he is knowledgeable of both land and timber.  Jeff grew up in rural Clarke County, AL hunting and fishing and spending as much time as possible in the outdoors. Ferrell graduated from Mississippi State University in 1970 with a BS in Forestry. He is a licensed Forester in Mississippi and was employed with Georgia Pacific for 3 years, The Mississippi Forestry Commission for 3 years and Weyerhaeuser Company for 32 years before retiring in 2006. Ferrell and his wife Shelia have 4 children and 6 grand children and own and operate a Tree Farm in Neshoba County, Ms. near Philadelphia. He also owns a Forestry Consulting Business.  Ferrell is on the Neshoba County Forestry Association Board of Directors and takes an aggressive approach in aiding landowners in maximizing  returns from their timber lands. Ferrell and Shelia are very active in their church and believe that we should be good stewards of the Natural Resources that God has blessed us with. Ferrell enjoys fishing and hunting with his children and grand children and riding his Bike with his wife.

Kelso grew up in Montgomery, Alabama and has been obsessed with the outdoors his whole life. He was fortunate to grow up hunting on his family land in West Alabama, and this enabled him to pursue his love for the outdoors.  His great grandfather, B.A. Cogle, bought and sold land and timber his whole life. Kelso’s heritage inspired him to pursue a career in real estate selling recreational property.  Kelso graduated from Auburn University in 2007 and began his real estate career with a commercial real estate developer based in Atlanta, Georgia.  After working in Atlanta for two years, he knew this wasn’t the route he wanted to take and decided to move back home to Alabama. He was given the opportunity to come on board with Tutt Land Company. After a meeting with Walter Tutt and Hale Smith, he knew this was the real estate company he wanted to be a part of.

Joe lives in Enterprise, Alabama and owns land in Coffee County where he and his four sons love to hunt deer and turkey as they manage their timber and wildlife habitat.  Joe graduated from the University of Florida in 1984 and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Army.  While attending flight school at Ft Rucker, AL, Joe already knew that he would eventually call Enterprise his home.  Retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel following a 22 year career as an Army aviator, with assignments across the United States and overseas, Joe and his wife Luca retired back to the Wiregrass in 2007.  After five years in executive management as a Department of Defense contractor, Joe followed a calling to pursue his passion for the outdoors and joined Tutt Land Company in 2012 as a Sales Associate with a focus on southeast Alabama.  A lifelong hunter and an avid outdoorsman, he feels fortunate to have the opportunity to join the outstanding team of professionals at Tutt Land Company.  Joe’s primary goal is to help others experience the personal and financial rewards of land ownership.

Mark received his MS degree in zoology from Auburn University in 1989 and started his own consulting business after working nearly a decade for The Nature Conservancy. He serves on the board of directors of the Alabama Wildlife Federation and is a past president of the Alabama Chapter of The Wildlife Society. He received the Governor’s Conservation Achievement Award for Wildlife Conservationist of the Year in 2007. Working with the Alabama Forest Resources Center and other land trusts, Mark has been involved in conservation easement projects on 22 properties totaling over 56,000 acres. Mark specializes in GIS mapping and helping clients identify and manage the “hidden gems” of biodiversity often overlooked in the landscape, adding to the enjoyment of owning a special piece of property. Mark, his wife Karan, and daughter Ava live in Covington County where they enjoy managing their land adjoining Conecuh National Forest.

Spence is a 2005 Graduate of the University of Alabama where he studied business. He grew up on the family land in Chelsea, Alabama, where he developed a love for the land at a young age.
