The Campground Tract in Marengo County is a legacy tract. This farm, located just south of Myrtlewood, Alabama, was owned by the Rentz family for many years. From the hunting experiences of young men harvesting deer in the agriculture fields to the extraordinarily fun raccoon hunts that took place back in the day, great memories have been created on this property for many of the local residents.

The farm sits close to the Tombigbee River and has areas of flat, river-bottom land that is mostly open fields. These fields fill up with deer on a pretty winter day. The fields also have a slough area that backs up from the river, producing mallards and big ducks and creating one of the best waterfowl hunting areas in Marengo County. The upland fields could be developed into excellent dove fields.

The topography, land use type, and timber are unique on this farm as the eastern side consists of rolling hills with scattered timber and nice pastures. As you move west on the farm, the hills roll into the flat, mostly open, bottomland. There are areas of old, mature, beautiful timber on the hillsides and areas of older, mature pine plantations, as well as 14 year old (+/-) plantations. The soils are excellent for growing timber, both pine and hardwood.

The property has a nice equipment shed with county water availability and power on site. The upland pastures with the surrounding timber create a setting for many homesites or campsites. This property has divisibility opportunities.
