Welcome to Pinewoods Farm, a premium 656 acre recreational and hunting farm situated in the famed Blackbelt region of east central Alabama.  Located on Macon County Road 2 in between Union Springs and Tuskegee, AL, Pinewoods is convenient to Auburn (35 miles), Montgomery (45 miles) and within two hours of both Birmingham and Atlanta.  This area of Macon County has long been recognized as one of the top destinations for great deer, turkey and quail hunting in the state of Alabama.  The combination of an abundant wildlife population, diverse habitat and large landowners make this area and Pinewoods hard to beat!

Pinewoods is a very visually appealing property with all the necessary amenities already in place.  Upon entering the automatic gate off of the paved county road, you will travel about 1/4 mile down a gravel driveway to the farm headquarters.  This area features a 3BR/2BA cabin complete with hardwood floors, wood walls, a nice size living room and kitchen, laundry room and screened porches on the front and back.  There is a pole barn here for parking equipment, a large metal shop building with roll up door(great for servicing equipment, parking ATVs) and an additonal metal building that is ideal for storage.  Right off the back porch of the cabin is a stone patio and firepit, a great place to unwind with family and friends after a long day of hunting.

One of the most notable features about Pinewoods is the scenic 12 acre lake lying directly behind the cabin.  This is a very nice size lake that has been professionally managed in the past...it has a covered dock with one slip for a boat and the banks around the edge are manicured.  If you like to fish, you will certainly enjoy sitting on the bank with a bream buster or easing around here in a jonboat catching bass, bream and crappie!  In addition, the landowner has done some duck hunting on a flooded area near the upper end of the lake.

This is a very diverse property, with gently rolling to flat topography and a great stand of mostly mature pine timber.  The planted pine stands are really nice and could be thinned to create more browse/bedding and also areas for quail hunting.  There are some hardwood drains mixed in among the pine that create good travel corridors for deer... great places to bowhunt!  The northern 160 acres of the property is a mixed natural stand of timber that could be harvested(if desired) for immediate income.  The road system is in good shape and offers access to all parts of the property including multiple food plots.  These food plots are strategically placed throughout the property and range in size from 1/2 acre up to about 3 acres.  Most of the plots already have custom built wooden shooting houses in place.  One of my favorite areas of Pinewoods is the eastern 150 acres that is comprised of mostly open land.  The possiblities of what you can do here are endless...85 acres of row crop land, 35 acre pecan orchard and a 25 acre hayfield with a mature hardwood drain running through it.  The landowner has planted a large dove field here and there are also two big food plots.  This area of the property contains a lot of natural grasses and thick areas that will hold a lot of wildlife!

It's not often that you find a farm that has most everything a recreational land buyer is looking for and Pinewoods is just that...a turnkey, high quality property offering a multitude of outdoor activites including deer, turkey, hog, dove, duck and quail hunting; fishing, trail riding or just enjoying the great outdoors.  This is an excellent opportunity to purchase a ready to use farm that will be a solid long term investment as well!
