The Shady Grove Tract is the perfect fit for someone who wants a beautifully landscaped oasis with scenic views, a place to relax, hunt or just simply watch nature at work. 

Located in Wing, AL., on Beda Road approximately 5 miles north of the AL/FL line is the Shady Grove Tract.  A unique southern property that has the feel of a mighty plantation.  A property so distinctive that movie producers would want to use it to make the next great classic.  For the golfers out there, it reminds you of the entrance to The Masters, just wider.

Seldom, if ever, does a property come on the market with such a picturesque landscape.  A landscape so incredible that it could not be reproduced in one’s lifetime. 

Since I do not use Chat GPT or any other form of AI to write my descriptions, and I have decided not to provide the same style reporting of this property, I find myself in a bit of a quandary.  I am fully aware of my limited writing skills and know that my attempt to describe this place is futile, but here goes.  However, I do strongly recommend looking at the pictures for a much better vision of my words…  Unfortunately, they do not do it justice either. 

As you enter the property off Beda Road at the NW corner of the property, you come up a gentle slope to an open field.  As you turn to the east, you are presented with an incredible view of these massive live oak trees lining the drive to a small cabin.  Some of these trees are 150 years old with a 20’ circumference.  As you continue down the drive, you will notice the cabin in the distance and a small pond off to your left.  As you approach the cabin, you will see a field of young longleaf pines tucked in behind the cabin.  Once you reach the cabin, you will notice a two-story pole barn which could serve as a future cabin or continue serving in its current state.   Currently, the ground floor serves to store a tractor and some equipment.  (The tractor and implements can be purchased separately).  The second floor is covered with a waterproof material with the intention of becoming a place to store pine straw from the future harvest of approximately 40 acres of longleaf pines. 

As you continue the drive, you enter a 100-yard shooting range with metal targets.  This range is ideal for shooting rifles, pistols and clay targets.  To the left of the shooting range, is a small, wooded area that serves as another wet weather pond that is known to draw ducks in the wintertime.  Beyond the pond lies the Conecuh National Forest. 

The road continues through the shooting range into a large area of longleaf pines that have been meticulously managed and are scheduled to be burned this fall. 

As I continue the path to my final destination, I finally reached the original point of entry at Beda Road.  I have come full circle.
