Welcome to the Alamuchee Creek Tract!

Tutt Land Company is proud to present another premiere listing in the 487-acre Alamuchee Creek tract. The Alamuchee Creek tract is located just south of the Cuba community off County Road 10 in southwest Sumter County. An area well renowned for producing trophy whitetails and exceptional timber production in the western portion of the Alabama Black Belt. Being conveniently located less than two miles from Hwy. 80 and less than five miles from I 20-59 makes the Alamuchee Creek tract very attractive and easily accessible.

Alamuchee Creek tract comprises a total of 487 (+/-) acres. On the east side of County Road 10, the tract consists of 426 (+/-) acres. The remaining acreage is directly across County Road 10 and consists of 62 (+/-) acres. The Alamuchee Creek tract boasts nearly 2100’ ft. of road frontage on the east side of CR-10. The 62 acres on the west side of CR-10 includes around 620’ ft. of road frontage. Additionally, there is also frontage on Siloam Rd., allowing for several different access points to the property. As you enter the property off Siloam Rd., you will notice the brand-new pole barn that has just recently been built with power running to it. Additionally, there are plenty of great spots for a homesite/camp to be built.

One of the most unique features of the Alamuchee Creek tract is the amount of creek frontage it presents. Alamuchee Creek traverses nearly 2.3 miles on the north side of the tract. Along the creek bottom you will find beautiful hardwoods all throughout, providing a healthy source of nutrition and water for all the different types of wildlife this tract has to offer.

Timber

The timber on this tract is very exceptional between the pines and hardwoods. The Alamuchee Creek tract consists of around 250-260 acres of pines that range anywhere from 18-20 years old, apart from the pines on the west side of County Road 10, as they are slightly younger and will be due for a thinning soon. Most of the pines have been thinned and appear to be growing in very healthy shape and will make for a nice return on investment for a buyer in the coming years. In between the pine ridges and along the creek banks, you will find the beautiful hardwoods this tract has to offer. Some of the hardwoods include white oaks, red oaks, black oaks, and swamp chestnut oaks. These oaks provide plenty of food, shelter, cover, and nesting sites for all wildlife species.

Recreational

The Alamuchee Creek tract is an outdoorsman’s paradise with its diversity and countless number of recreational opportunities it has to offer, including deer, turkey, duck, squirrel, and hog hunting. This property is a deer and turkey hunter's dream with the nice hardwood bottoms adjacent to heavy cover in the pines. The topography is rolling throughout the planted pines, turning flat once you traverse down to the Alamuchee Creek bottom. The Alamuchee Creek tract is covered up with wildlife sign from the pine ridges to the creek bottoms. With the ample number of oaks and pines mixed in together, this tract provides great habitat with no shortage of food. While roaming through the property, you will find a few already established wildlife plots, with the opportunity to add many more with your choice of positioning. The road system is in pretty good shape, allowing access to a good portion of the property. With some work, one could build a more extensive road system working towards the east side of the property. Spurring from Alamuchee Creek, there are a couple of streams that traverse through the property leading to duck holes, one being roughly 3 acres in size and the other being around one acre, providing for a wood duck hunter's heaven.

If you have been looking for a tract with a solid timber investment along with endless hunting and recreational opportunities in the west-central Alabama Black Belt, the Alamuchee Creek tract is one to see! This will make a family happy for generations to come.
