The Natural Bridge Tract is a place of natural beauty. It is 153 +- acres of long flat walkable bluffs with gentle rolling hills. It has tremendous rocks and rock cropping’s. The mature stand of natural timber provides shade and open canopies which allow you to see long distances throughout the forest floor, especially in the open bottoms. The New River traverses through the tall canyons from the NE corner of the property to the SW corner of the property providing water for wildlife and exquisite scenery for one to enjoy. Along the river’s edge are large boulders protruding over the river creating large ledges and cavities in the rock wall.
Its natural state compliments that of its land neighbors. The Natural Bridge Park, the longest natural bridge east of the Rocky Mountains is located across the highway and the majority of the west boundary is bordered by the William Bankhead National Forest.
Located in Natural Bridge, AL., only 65 miles due north of Tuscaloosa and 70 miles NW of Birmingham. One could easily be there in time to enjoy an afternoon hunt. If hunting is not your thing, then hiking, biking, camping or nature watching is a perfect alternative.
There are three gated entrances to the property off Highway 278. There is a good internal road system allowing you to access most of the property by truck or atv. There is even a natural crossing across the river. As you enter the property through the middle entrance, you will drive up a slight incline to a nice, cleared area that has an arched metal house on pilings. The exterior of the house is finished but the interior will need to be completed to one’s liking. Currently, the house is insulated and dried in, but does not have finished interior walls or floors. There is no power to the house, but it is available very close by.
There is plenty of wildlife and great habitat for turkeys and deer. While walking the property I saw both turkey and deer. There are several established food plots with sign all around. Additionally, there are multiple places to establish larger food plots, shooting houses / blinds. I am unaware of the duck hunting possibilities, but there is plenty of water for them.
If you are looking for that property with endless potential, then look no further than the Natural Bridge Tract.
